I have this game that was using an opt-in advertising option, where the user could click a button, and it would display and add, then award them coins. In the editor it would redirect them to a scene that said "This would be your add unit." I decided after a long period of inactivity to give my game to a friend and have him run it with his organization. (He's new and just started with unity.) He succesfully linked the game with his organization, and both are under a new game ID. The problem...

This is my first attempt adding unityads to my iOS project when I add my unityad pod install I get the error and in my Xcode build I get a linker error. I created a license.txt in visual Studio and copied it to my build folder. I’ve looked and many different threads to solve this and not sure if my cocoapod cache is now corrupted or my file is not in the correct location? Thanks in advance to anyone that try’s to help out this iOS newbie!

Can I make banner ads optional for the player?

I'm wondering if we can make banner ads optional for the player.

I want to give players the option to allow the banner in exchange for a passive bonus, ie +1 coin per level.

I think there is an RPG game that does this. Either Puzzle & Dragons or Soda Dungeon. They gave +10% experience points.

Similarly, can we have the banner only show in certain scenes? Such as only in menus and not in-game.

I mean the new Unity monetization 3.0 banner ads.

why the namespace doesn't exist ? and when i clicked that script, it won't open the visual studio.. so i opened that with sublime text

So currently we are developing a game. We are running the latest Unity beta with the UnityAds imported from the services window. When i make an export and run the app through xCode everything works fine. The advertisements do get initialized properly. But whenever i archive the project and distribute it the Advertisement.isReady() always (and i mean always) returns false (i waited for around 2 days). This does not happen whenever i try to build it directly from xCode.

So to put this quite simply my revenue is down by about 40% and still dropping compared with about 3 weeks ago despite hardly any change in the number of impressions received. (am not going into specific numbers here but if anyone from Unity wants to check my account then these numbers will bear out).

There was an issue about 2 weeks ago where dashboard stats were not updated for a day or 2 and I noticed the drop happened immediately after this was resolved but of course I'm not sure if...

Anybody else feel that revenue is well down in the last 2 weeks?

Huge GC Alllocation for test banner in Editor

Just a heads up, I was recently fighting performance problems during a "drag and drop" feature in my game. It turns out after profiling that a Banner will create around 5MB garbage every frame when input is happening, at least on my setup. It's coming directly from the text description on the banner, and will not happen on device.

Do i need Unity Plus or Pro license to put ads or multiplayer

I plan on getting the pro license in the future but not now since I cant afford it atm... but i would like to know. Do i need the plus license for ads and the pro license for ads and multiplayer.. or can i use these features until i'm making enough to pay for the license?

The title explains it all.

I have enough money in my unity ads account to withdraw, but it is not going into my bank account automatically like it is stated. I have filled in my Payout profile several times and i know it is correct.

Help would be appreciated.

I have read mixed comments about Unity having a hard cap of only being able to show 25 Ads per day.

Can people chime in and confirm this once and for all? Why in the world is the cap set at 25? Unity thinks the odds any user will reach more than 25 Ads per day is so low?

Also, what workarounds can I do if I want the user to watch an Ad but has reached their daily limit? Should I implement another Ad program? Google's Admob?


I think I sadly came across this issue, because I never enabled...

IAP promo shown no fill

Hello,

I'm trying to implement IAP promo in my game.
Everything work in the editor but when push to the device the ad status is always "noFill".

I'm using codeless IAP and initiate it on the loading scene via an IAP listener.
Then I initiate ads in the next scene.

In the editor, I get the message: "IAP promo interface available for 16 items."
But not in the build on the device.

All placements are active. The app is in beta.

If someone will have a solution it will be awesome :)

Have tried to get Unity Ads running for my game on both iOS and Android. I went for a very straight-forward setup, where initalisation is being performed automatically - all I'm doing is showing an ad when the player dies.

This worked without a hitch on Android, but is not working at all on iOS. I've tried on an iPhone X and iPod 5, both with the same errors being shown in the Xcode logs:

Do all unity banners have the same dimensions, or is it device-dependent? Is there an API Call? Is it documented somewhere?

Basically I just need to be able to offset the rest of my UI to adjust for it.

it shows up in the editor that banner ads would be shown (albeit at the top of the screen not the bottom) but when I test my application on an android device reward videos show as they should but there is no banner at all.
